Chief of the Texas Cougar Clan, Hawke was forbidden to her, but as his dark gaze burned into hers, she knew it would be impossible to resist this...Savage Vision

About this book
Vision of loveliness: She was as elusive as the legendary deer he was hunting—a creature of mist and shadow, there one moment and gone the next. Like his quarry, her skin glowed white as moonlight, but her hair was scarlet and she showed no fear at his approach. And when he laid eyes on her, Chief Hawke knew she must be his. Vision of danger: From her first sight of the shadowy ship with its tattered sails, Scarlet sensed it meant trouble. And when its lunatic captain forced her aboard, her despair knew no bounds. She could hardly believe her eyes when the stunningly handsome Indian she’d met just once appeared to save her. Chief of the Texas Cougar Clan, Hawke was forbidden to her, but as his dark gaze burned into hers, she knew it would be impossible to resist this...Savage Vision

    Excellent Features for the Price

Considering that you are paying less than $100 for a wireless IP Camera that provides PT (no Zoom), infrared night vision, motion detection, and automatic email of alarm photos, there is very little one can criticize about this camera. Yes, it's tricky to set-up if you have never done port-forwarding before and yes, the frame rate and resolution are both a little low, and the audio is crap, but remember that you paid less than $100 for this thing. If you need audio, higher frame rates and better resolution, you should buy a more expensive IP camera. As far as setup goes, if you understand networking and port-forwarding, these are my recommendations:1) Do NOT install the software on the CD.2) Connect the camera by Cat-5 wire to your router.3) Login to your router (via browser) and find the IP address assigned to your camera.4) Login to the camera at that IP address (via browser) and IMMEDIATELY turn OFF the DHCP.5) Give your camera a... 4/5 R. Beware of a hardware problem introduced on newer Foscam cameras

Summary: Foscam is manufacturing and selling cameras with a known manufacturing defect. If the camera is pointed at a scene with too much detail (trees, grass, wood grain, window screen, etc) the camera will fail by either freezing, displaying black or rebooting. This defect was introduced as the result of a sensor change in December 2012. It was first reported by users to Foscam in May of 2013. Foscam publicly confirmed this manufacturing defect as the DSP in December 2013 and they also put a repair procedure in place. This procedure involves shipping the newly purchased camera to a distributor in Texas for repair. I've personally sent two cameras in for repair; the first repair took 15 days and required a significant amount of effort to process including a BBB complaint. The second repair took 18 days to turn around and was processed easily. Oddly, the serial number of this second camera changed before/after the repair so they seem to have sent a different camera instead of... 1/5 J Den (Denver, CO) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Excellent value for money - with some caveats

This camera really is very good value for money. We received it as a gift from our baby registry to use as a baby monitor for our first child.I'm a software engineer by trade so I had very little trouble setting up the camera and configuring it for use. However, I could see it being confusing for people with less of a technical/networking background.PROS- The web interface lets you control all the features very simply. There are loads of features on the camera - more than we needed for our simple baby monitoring scenario- The camera works great on several WiFi versions; I've used 802.11g and 802.11n with it. Note that the camera doesn't work on the 5Ghz 802.11n band, although to put that in perspective, neither does the newest iPhone 4S so this isn't that big of a deal- The infra-red night vision is really very good. Crystal clear video, with picture quality as good as you get from the camera when the room is fully-lit- Very good range... 4/5 cassian78 (Orlando, FL United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Good surveillance cameras

They're a bit hard to set up and require a strong understanding of how to configure Wi-Fi networks. They want you to use Active-X with Internet Explorer, but I tried it on two different Windows PCs and couldn't get the Active-X plug-in to run. You can set them up and use them with other browsers too, but can't use some of the advanced features without Active-X, such as being able to view all the cameras on the same page. So I ended up configuring them to use different ports and access one camera at a time using Chrome or Safari. The cameras do a great job using infrared for night vision. The day time video is nice and gives you a wide-angle view. However, the shots captured when the motion detection activates is not that clear; I mean the photos are clear, but if someone walks by the camera, their face may be blurred. Also, the motion detection can be very sensitive to light changes, especially at the higher settings. The remote controls in positioning and changing the camera's angles... 3/5 Phillip Rodokanakis (Oak Hill, VA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great cameras for the price.

I have several of these operating at my company, and am getting ready to purchase more. While I've had a couple of older (previous) models fail after a few years of use, overall- these are very reliable and good quality cameras for what you are paying for. I you want really high-end video and performance- pay for it and don't buy these. Also- if you want to run several of these at once- don't expect your home WiFi network to deal very well with it.In my experience- the very best thing to do is buy good software to go with these. Using their Web interfaces can be tedious- especially if you have multiple cameras. There are several good "Security Camera" software packages out there that cost less than one of these cameras. These have DVR options that can save video, stills, and audio to multiple locations, and they often have far-more advanced motion-detection systems than the ones built-in to these cameras. Many also have built-in Web servers that can stream multiple camera... 5/5 Wolf I. Butler (Denver, CO) - See all my reviews, November 7, 2012

    YUP, I do like it.

I have a home weather station and website and have other Foscams. I decided to go with this version on a lark, and I am really impressed on the quality of the picture. Although it has night vision (IR) it can give a clear image with the IR LEDs turned off. I have my camera behind glass, so it gets the glare of the IR leds. However without them , I still get an almost daylight view at night. The camera has a SD card port, one thing that isn't mentioned, this version needs a micro-sd card, up to 32Gb, no larger. The fi9831W uses a standard SD card, up to 32 gb. Not sure why the difference, but they are different. Neither come with the SD cards, so you have to get one. They are used to record images and video to the cards at the camera. I use other software, so it isn't necessary, but if the computer is off, the camera continues to take pictures. I am not sure if it overwrites them when the disk is full or not. The images can be either viewed via the camera or... 5/5 Joseph A. Good Without SD Card

I've purchased over 5 Foscam camera's over the years, and most have worked good enough. I generally set up FTP to my webspace, then turn on the motion detection. I'm a computer guy for a living, so setting up the dynamic DNS and configuring the camera is no problem. The email client is a bit flaky compared to earlier versions. The MAJOR PROBLEM with the TWO newer Focam camera's I purchased, the "MOTION DETECTION" DOES NOT WORK - CORRECTION: It does work, but not if you also have a SD Card inserted at the same time. It's either one (motion detection) or the other (recording with SD Card). The documentation is horrible. It doesn't explain this simple fact, which will cause many unnecessary pain. Also, the majority of the motion detection settings are undocumented. You need to select the time period "all" or the motion detection doesn't work. By default no time period for recording is selected. Also, those "red" color grids must be selected for... 3/5 NJ Super Dad (Jersey City, NJ) - See all my reviews This review is from: Foscam FI9831P Plug and Play 960P HD H.264 Wireless/Wired Pan/Tilt IP Camera, 26-Feet Night Vision and 70 Degree Viewing Angle (Black) (Electronics) I've purchased over 5 Foscam camera's over the years, and most have worked good enough. I dont know why there are so many negative reviews on these cameras on Amazon.
